What is Dodgertown West?
A member of the Mens Senior Baseball League (MSBL), Dodgertown West began simply in 1984 with pick up ball games between a small group of guys who had recently attended the Los Angeles Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp. The camaraderie and fellowship of the camp was such that these guys wanted to continue it on a regular basis.

It was then and continues to be now the mission of DTW "to continue the camaraderie experienced at Dodgertown by playing baseball for the enjoyment of the game, for the love of the game and in the spirit of fair play regardless of a player's ability and with the safety for all of paramount importance."

From barely enough guys to form just two teams in '84, the league has now grown to include over 130 registered players who play on five to six regularly established teams. Games are played year round by way of two scheduled seasons a year, Spring (January through June) and Fall (July through December).

In addition to regular season games, members participate in various tournaments throughout the year. These events range from the friendly reunion of Dodger fantasy campers to a bit more competitive weekends against other fantasy camp leagues. The original model for MSBL, DTW also participates in the full on competition of MSBL regional and national tournaments in the hopes of repeating its World Series championship of 2004.

Players must be 30 years of age and older and must have attended the Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp or some other team recognized fantasy camp.

Fields of Dreams
For many years Veteran's Memorial Stadium has been the home of DTW. With restricted playing time and the desire of many members to "give back to the community" DTW added the Downey High School baseball program as a target of DTW's support. And so in 2009 Downey High School joined Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Commerce as DTW's fields of dreams. Maps and directions to these locations can be had by clicking on the appropriate link below:

In addition, several "tournaments" are played throughout the year at various minor league, collegiate and high school fields around the country.
